Sailing Regattas
The Circolo Velico Monterosso Club, a member of the Italian sailing federation since 1961, has hosted a number of sailing events and regattas since its very beginning.
Initially, the regattas involved the Strale, Flying Dutchman, Flying Junior, Finn and Star classes. During the course of the years, once some of these classes, such as the Flying Dutchman, the Flying Junior, the Finn and the Star, were replaced by the new fleet of Optimists, 420s, 470s, Lasers and Equipes.
Along the years the Club has organized many regattas, with some of them still being organized today, summer after summer, with the aim to promote sailing: namely the “Francesco Taccetti Trophy” for the Laser class, the “Cenzino Sanna Trophy“ for the Open class and the “Cinque Terre Trophy” for the Optimist class.
